Biography

I am currently finishing my degree at the university of hertfordshire. I am studying Information technology and last year completed a years profesional placement at UIA insurance in stevenage. My degree is nearing to the end and am very keen to push my career forward into the web application or network administration world.

I am a very enthusiastic, bubbly, hard working individual who strives to do my best. I enjoy both working individually and in a team. I am always looking to expand my knowledge and learn new aspects of all work. I work very well when aiming towards a goal and perform a high standard of work when under pressure in a busy environment.

1. UIA Insurance

   Network Administrator 2010 - 2011

   One year placement line 1, 2 and 3 supporting the systems for an insurance company, working in a team of four IT admins.

Skill set

• General

  Works well in teams and individually, always looking to improve and push both myself and my work, Works well on projects and has good people skills. Under taken one years professional placement at UIA insurance as a network administrator/windows administrator, who comply with FSA and PCI DSS regulations.

• Windows

  confident windows administrator, used to working with all packages e.g. word etc, Knowledge of all platforms from win XP - 7, and Server 2003 - 2008 R2.

• Web application

  Confident and experience in setting up, configuring and developing Web applications, knowledge of back end database configuration to front end coding and page layout.

• MySql

  Good knowledge of SQL, database design and modelling, database querying and amendment, also extensive knowledge of SQL and PHP compatibility and configuration.

• Coding

  Confident knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP, and SQL. javascript and web application phone optimisation. Little knowledge of java programming (in process of self teaching.), and currently learning objective-C for iPhone app development.
